Differential Designs, Inc., a consultancy specializing in the development of real-time embedded software, was started in 2000 by an engineer with over 25 years experience managing, designing and developing real-time embedded software in a variety of applications. Most of that time was spent working for and with small to mid-sized who have limited capital and manpower available for the development effort. What came about was a realization that to succeed, as defined by the customer and his company, he needed to:  

·   Clearly define the goals for both the customer and development team

·   Come up with a plan to reaching those goals

·   Assume and anticipate changes

·   Utilize effectively and efficiently resources available

This background resulted in the realization that experience adds value to the development effort by making one adaptable, efficient and effective.
